PONY Baseball and Softball Alumni Scholarship

PONY Baseball and Softball is offering an Alumni Scholarship for graduates who participated in PONY programs. To be eligible, applicants must have played in a registered PONY baseball or girls’ softball program for at least two (2) years.
Applications must be submitted by May 1. The Scholarship Committee will consider an application complete only after it has received all required materials listed below. The committee awards eight scholarships each year: one for each of the four U.S. Zones (North, East, South, West), plus one each for the Asia Pacific Zone, the Caribbean Zone, Canada, and Mexico.
Required materials (submit all):
- Completed scholarship application, signed and dated by the applicant and the applicant’s high school guidance counselor.
- School & Community Activities Form.
- Essay on the assigned topic (100 words or less).
- Official secondary school transcript.
- Test scores from either the SAT, ACT, or TOEFL.
- Copy of the Letter of Acceptance from the institution you plan to attend.
- Notarized letter from the president of the PONY-affiliated baseball or softball league confirming the applicant’s participation in that league for a minimum of two years.
- Two letters of recommendation.
When all items above have been received, the Scholarship Committee will treat the submission as complete and proceed with review.
