Kern Scholarship

For Minnesota 4-H members or alumni who will be entering their freshman year at a school in the University of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (Minnesota State) or University of Minnesota campus. There are two scholarships in the amount of $1,500 and are awarded annually. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better to qualify. The review committee will evaluate applications based on financial need, reasons to attend college, career plans and goals, 4-H leadership and citizenship, major 4-H offices held, major 4-H projects, 4-H achievement, 4-H awards and recognition, letters of reference and additional community and school leadership and citizenship activities. The scholarship award check will be made payable to the institution that the recipient is attending, not to the recipient.

Corn Capital Innovations (CCI) was formed in Olivia, Minnesota by Steve and Summer O'Neill in 2008. The family-owned business is an industry leader that helps crop producers develop innovative farm plans that integrate the four components of profitability: crop insurance, grain marketing, financial analysis, and yield building strategies. The O'Neills and many CCI employees are proud 4-H alumni.

The review committee will evaluate applicants based on scholastic achievements, career interest area, community and 4-H involvement, and leadership roles and positions.

Applicants must submit the following:

A) CCI Scholarship application form and essay.

B) Official copy of current high school transcript.

C) Two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher or academic advisor and one from an Extension educator, program coordinator, or club leader.

D) One individual photo (black and white or color, between 2x3" and 4x5"). The photo will be used for publicity if you receive the scholarship; it will not be returned.

E) Application must be typed only

F) Application is accepted by mail only.

Award notices will be distributed in June. The scholarship award check will be made payable to the institution that the recipient is attending, not to the recipient.
Minnesota State Archery Association Scholarship

The MSAA Scholarship Program is for those graduating high school students who are academically successful and who can also demonstrate a sincere interest in the sport of archery. The scholarship was established in 1971 to encourage outstanding students to prepare for worthwhile careers at the college of their choice and to promote the sport of archery. The MSAA Scholarship Program is for those graduating high school students who are academically successful and who can also demonstrate a sincere interest in the sport of archery. The scholarship was established in 1971 to encourage outstanding students to prepare for worthwhile careers at the college of their choice and to promote the sport of archery. Two scholarships are available each year and are valued at $500 each.

The student should apply while a senior in high school or at any time during their first 3 years of college. If awarded the scholarship the MSAA President will notify the winner by September 1st, of the year of application. If an individual does not win the award they may reapply as aforementioned, the scholarship can be won only once by a single individual. The applicant must be an MSAA member in good standing at the time of their application.

Applications for the scholarship must be postmarked no later than June 15 to be considered for that year's scholarship. Any applications received after that date will be returned.
Evans Scholarship

The Evans Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for high-achieving caddies with limited financial means. To qualify, caddies must meet the requirements of having a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character.

Scholarship applications are accepted at the beginning of an applicant's senior year of high school, as well as from college freshmen.

The entire application – including supporting documents like evaluations, recommendation letters, transcripts, test scores, a CSS profile and FAFSA information – are expected to be completed by October 30. The Scholarship Committee will begin its review when the application is complete. The Committee will interview finalists, and the final selection rests with the Committee. All decisions will be finalized by April 1.

Scholarship Requirements

A) Strong caddie record: Applicants must have caddied, regularly and successfully, for a minimum of two years and are expected to caddie at their sponsoring club the year they apply for the Scholarship.

B) Excellent academics: Applicants must have completed their junior year of high school with above a B average in college preparatory courses. The ACT and SAT will be optional for 2021 applicants.

C) Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must clearly have a need for financial assistance.

D) Outstanding character: Applicants must be outstanding in character, integrity and leadership.

Application Timeline

August 1: Application available online. Review the information on the website.

October 1: CSS Financial Aid Profile becomes available. Please complete the CSS Profile online and submit to CSS along with the required fee as soon as possible. The Evans Scholars Foundation CSS code is 0153. You can also file FAFSA online on October 1. Please submit a copy of your completed FAFSA Federal Student Aid Report with the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number when it becomes available.

October 30: Applications are expected to be completed, including all supporting documents (completed CSS Profile, FAFSA Federal Student Aid Report, High School Evaluation, Caddie Evaluation, letters of recommendation, high school transcript and test scores).

April 1: All application decisions are finalized.
Got a Spine Scholarship
