Overview
The Islanders Children’s Foundation is committed to being an active force in the community. As part of that work, the Foundation offers a scholarship for graduating high school seniors who have made a meaningful impact in their communities. This award honors students who exemplify hard work, perseverance, leadership, and active community involvement. Five (5) recipients will each receive $5,000.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a Metropolitan New York (Metro NY) high school senior planning to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university after graduation
- Be goal-oriented with a clear plan for their future
- Demonstrate leadership abilities and a strong work ethic
- Show a dedication to serving family, school, and community
- Lead by example
- Be motivated to improve others’ lives through their actions and abilities
Required supporting materials
1. Two (2) to three (3) letters of recommendation from a coach, teacher, guidance counselor, advisor, or employer
2. A current unofficial high school transcript provided by your guidance counselor
Application deadline
All applications must be received by February 1, 2026.

Notification and recognition
Selected awardees will be contacted by phone. For questions or additional information, call 516-501-6700 ext. 4. Scholarship recipients will be honored at a recognition event held at the conclusion of the Islanders’ regular season.
