Orth Dermatologics Scholarships

Overview
Ortho Dermatologics ASPIRE HIGHER Scholarships will award six scholarships total: three Undergraduate Scholar Awards (for students in undergraduate or vocational/technical programs) and three Graduate Scholar Awards (for students pursuing graduate study). Applicants may submit to only one award category. Students enrolled in or seeking technical/vocational degrees or certificates may qualify — refer to the Rules & Regulations for details.
Who is eligible
You may qualify if all of the following apply:
- You are a United States citizen residing in the United States.
- For the 2026–2027 academic year you have applied to, been accepted to, or are currently enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or an advanced (post–high school) vocational/technical school.
- You have been diagnosed with and have received treatment for a dermatologic condition.
- Your treatment has been provided by a dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner who practices in a dermatology setting.
Application requirements
A complete application must include:
- An original essay (about 500 words) written by you that describes:
- How your diagnosed dermatologic condition has affected your life and personal experiences, and
- The role your treating dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner has played in your care.
- Two letters of recommendation, plus information about your school and community activities.
- A signed 2026 Medical Statement Form confirming your dermatologic condition. This form must be completed and signed by the treating dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner working in a dermatology practice. The form will be available during the online application process.
- Proof at the time of application that you have applied to, been accepted by, or are enrolled in the school for which you seek the scholarship.
- If selected, you must provide proof of admission and current enrollment before the scholarship award is disbursed.
Important notes
- The 2026 Medical Statement Form must bear the signature of the treating dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner who works in a dermatology practice.
- You may apply to only one scholarship category.
Who is not eligible
The following are ineligible for the Ortho Dermatologics ASPIRE HIGHER Scholarships:
- Healthcare professionals (including dermatologists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners), professionals in other medical specialties and their staff, and the immediate family of any such individuals (parents, children, siblings, spouses, and persons living in the same household).
- Employees of Ortho Dermatologics, its affiliates, or any organization involved in administering the scholarship program, and their immediate family members.
- Anyone who is eligible for prescription reimbursement, in whole or in part, through federal, state, or other government programs. Examples include (but are not limited to) Medicare (including Medicare Advantage and Parts A, B, and D), Medicaid, TRICARE, the Veterans Administration or Department of Defense health coverage, CHAMPUS, the Puerto Rico Government Health Insurance Plan, or any other federal or state healthcare program.
Legal
Void where prohibited. The program will be conducted in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
