Overview
The Andrew A. Lindberg Memorial Foundation created this scholarship in 2014 to support rural Minnesota high school seniors who plan to continue their education after graduation. Andrew Lindberg grew up on a family farm in the Red River Valley of northwestern Minnesota. Applicants should describe their personal background and explain how those experiences have influenced their future academic and career goals. We applaud your intention to pursue further education.
Scholarship details
- Award: $2,500 per year.
- Renewal: The award may be renewed for up to five years if the recipient maintains a 3.25 undergraduate GPA and continues to meet the eligibility criteria (grade-level requirement excepted).
Who is eligible
- Residency and status: Must be a Minnesota resident and a high school senior from a town with a population under 25,000.
- Agricultural roots: Applicants should come from an agricultural background in Minnesota (for example, working on a family farm or in an agricultural service role).
- Academic/acceptance requirements: Must graduate high school with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and have been admitted as an incoming freshman to an accredited, on-campus (not online-only) post-secondary institution prior to the award date of 8/30/2025.
- Use of funds: Scholarship payments are made directly to the recipient’s institution and must be applied during the 2025–2026 academic year.

3. A student evaluation completed by one of the following: high school or college counselor/advisor, clergy member, teacher/professor, or a professional associate.
