Overview
The EMC Engineering Scholarship Fund supports Alaska students pursuing four-year degrees in architecture, engineering, construction management, or closely related fields at Alaska-based institutions. The Fund awards two $5,000 scholarships each year. Recipients may renew their award annually for up to four years provided they continue to meet all eligibility requirements. Renewal applicants are given preference over new applicants so that the total annual distribution from the Fund does not exceed $10,000.
About the Alaska Community Foundation (ACF)
Through the Alaska Community Foundation, donors across the state pool resources to help Alaskans achieve post-secondary goals. ACF administers more than 60 scholarships annually, and applicants complete one online application to be considered for all scholarships for which they qualify.
Application timeline and process
The ACF post-secondary scholarship application opens January 15 and closes March 15. With a single login and one application you’ll be matched to scholarships that fit your background and plans after answering a few brief questions about your education and experience.
Eligibility
- Must be an Alaska resident
- High school seniors about to graduate or current undergraduate students who plan to pursue a four-year degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a similar discipline
- Enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a four-year degree program at an Alaska-based college or university
- Demonstrate academic motivation and achievement
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show leadership through extracurricular activities, community involvement, and supporting letters of recommendation
