Crowder Law Firm Scholarship

Introduction
Based in Plano, The Crowder Law Firm represents individuals across North Texas who are confronting serious criminal charges. That work demands extensive skill, dedication, and resources. To acknowledge and share our appreciation for the effort it takes to achieve success, we established the Crowder Law Firm Scholarship to support students nationwide who pursue higher education and academic excellence.
Scholarship Awards
Twice each year the Crowder Law Firm awards two scholarships of $1,000 apiece to students committed to strong academic performance.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2026 semester.
- Be at least 18 years old at the time the application is submitted.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher.
Application Requirements
Every submission must include:
- Proof of enrollment (or intent to enroll) for the semester specified.
- The required essay (see prompt below).
- A professional headshot.
Essay Prompt
Compose an essay of approximately 1,000 words answering the prompt:
“HOW DO YOU DEFINE THE AMERICAN DREAM?”
Also discuss whether you believe that ideal is attainable in today’s society.
Deadline
The deadline to submit applications for the Fall 2026 cycle is June 29, 2026.
Selection Process
After the application window closes, our scholarship committee will thoroughly review each entry. Applications will be evaluated based on:
1. Compliance with all eligibility and submission requirements.
2. How fully and clearly the essay addresses the prompt.
3. Organization, originality, and creativity of the essay.
