Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship Fund
Introduction
The Scholarship Fund was established by alumni of the Alpha Eta chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed business fraternity. Since its inception in 1988, the Fund has distributed more than $3,600,000 in awards to upwards of 400 students.
Purpose
Scholarships are offered to incoming freshmen who demonstrate strong academics and leadership and who will be enrolled at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.
Who may apply
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be an incoming freshman admitted to the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. If you have not received an admission decision by Feb. 25, 2024, please contact Holly Anderson.
- Possess a strong academic record.
- Show leadership experience and/or active involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Understand that financial need is considered for nearly all awards. We request FAFSA information, but financial need is evaluated holistically rather than strictly by FAFSA numbers.
- If you believe you have no financial need, you are still encouraged to apply—some scholarships are awarded solely on merit.

Prepare and submit the following items with your application:
1. Personal details: full name, contact information, and a current applicant photo.
2. High school information and academic transcripts covering at least the last two academic years.

6. Short answer responses: two prompts, each answered in up to 250 words. Please proofread for grammar and spelling.
