Evans Scholarship

Introduction
The Evans Scholarship provides full tuition and housing to college students who have served as caddies and lack sufficient financial resources. Candidates are evaluated on their caddie history, academic achievement, financial need, and personal character.
Who may apply
- Current high school seniors (applications open at the start of senior year) and college freshmen may submit applications.
- Applicants must demonstrate: a strong caddie record, excellent academic performance, clear financial need, and outstanding character and leadership.
Key eligibility details
- Caddie record: Applicants should have worked as a caddie regularly and successfully for at least two years, and are expected to be caddying at their sponsoring club during the year they apply.
- Academics: Candidates must have completed their junior year of high school with better than a B average in college-preparatory courses. For applicants applying for 2025, ACT and SAT scores will be optional.
- Financial need: Demonstrable need for financial assistance is required.
- Character: Applicants must show integrity, strong character, and leadership.
Required application materials
Complete applications include the online form plus supporting documents such as:
- CSS Profile (completed and submitted)
- FAFSA Submission Summary including the Student Aid Index (SAI)
- High school transcript
- High School Evaluation and Caddie Evaluation forms
- Letters of recommendation
- Test scores (if provided)
Important dates and what to do
- Aug. 1: The application becomes available online. Review all program details and begin your application.
- Oct. 1: The 2026–27 CSS Profile opens at cssprofile.collegeboard.org/. Complete and submit it (Evans Scholars Foundation CSS code: 0153) and pay any required fee as soon as possible.
- On or before Oct. 1: The 2026–27 FAFSA becomes available at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. After submitting the FAFSA, email or mail a copy of your 2026–27 FAFSA Submission Summary (including the Student Aid Index/SAI) to the Scholarship Committee as soon as it is available.
- Oct. 15: The full application — including the CSS Profile, evaluations, recommendation letters, transcript, and any test scores — is expected to be complete and submitted by this date. The Scholarship Committee begins its review after Oct. 15.
- April 1: Final selections and decisions will be completed by this date.
Selection process
After Oct. 15 the Scholarship Committee reviews completed applications, interviews finalists, and makes final award decisions. All final determinations are made by the Committee and will be announced by April 1.
